Grand Prix is Coming to Las Vegas – Is Your Staff Prepared?

It’s coming! Our great city will host the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 16-18, 2023. Vendors and employees will need to be prepared. Has your staff met the necessary requirements to work this event?

You may be wondering, who on my staff will need a TAM Card?

  • Anyone selling or serving alcoholic beverages at a festival or special event, even if it is just for one weekend.
  • Anyone, working at any venue, who sells or serves alcohol to the public.
  • Security guards who work at those venues.
  • Clerks and cashiers at retail stores that sell sealed alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol awareness cards are required for anyone selling or serving alcoholic beverages at special events like the Grand Prix… and the TAM® Card is the number one choice of employers in Las Vegas.

Ensuring that your staff is properly trained on alcohol laws and safe beverage service will also reduce risk and liability for your business. Employees issued citations for serving alcohol to minors can also face fines. When an individual employee fails a compliance check, the business license department is notified which may mean problems when renewing licenses. Owners or managers of a business that fails compliance checks can also be issued a citation and could face the revocation of their business license. Additionally, establishments which violate statute provisions pertaining to alcohol awareness training are subject to administrative fines ranging from $500 to $5000. It’s not worth the risk. Choosing the most comprehensive alcohol education protects you and your employees, your customers, and your business.

The good news is that we make it easy for your staff to get TAM certified and obtain their alcohol awareness cards. Remind them to visit www.tamnevada.com to register and complete their training before this event.

With enforcement efforts on the rise, why risk having trouble with something like staff not being properly trained and certified? Don’t wait until November – advise your staff to get their TAM Card today.
