Announcement: Masks now required for all customers

TAMCardofficeAnnouncement: Beginning Friday June 26th, the TAM® of Nevada office will require all customers to wear a mask when visiting our office. This policy is in place to comply with Governor Sisolak’s order requiring face coverings in public.

Please wear your mask when picking up your TAM Card. In addition to this added protection, we’ll still be practicing other social distancing measures. We will continue to keep 2 meters of space between customers and offer hand sanitizer at the door.

If you visit our office without a mask, masks will be available for purchase at our reception desk at a cost of $1. Proceeds from mask sales will be donated to a local charity.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Our regular business hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am-12:30pm on Saturday.

TAM® of Nevada office is reopening on May 11th – Get your official TAM® Card

TAMCardOpenGreat news! Effective Monday, May 11th, the TAM® of Nevada office will officially reopen for business. We will resume regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm and Saturdays from 9:30am-12:30pm.

Our office was temporarily closed to comply with Governor Sisolak’s order to close non-essential businesses. With Phase 1 of Nevada’s reopening set to begin shortly, we are pleased to open back up to offer in-person exams for our customers. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.

Online training – As always, we continue to offer online access to official TAM® 24/7 at www.tamnevada.com. You can complete your mandatory alcohol awareness training at your home or on your mobile device.

Limit number of individuals in our office at any one time – To better practice social distancing, a maximum of 8 individuals will be allowed in our offices at a time. If the office is full, you’ll be asked to wait outside or remain in your car. Due to this restriction, we are not offering in-person TAM classes. Please continue to complete your training online and visit our office only for your final exam and card pickup.

Hand sanitizer and masks – All visitors are asked to use the hand sanitizer provided at our office entrance. We ask that you please wear a mask when you visit our office. The CDC recommends that individuals wear a cloth or other face covering in public settings to help limit the spread of the COVID virus.

Extended Expiry Dates for Training – Currently students enjoy 90 day from date of purchase to complete their TAM® training. Temporarily, students will have 120 days from the date of purchase to come in for their final exam and pick up their card. If you are concerned about visiting our office within your expiry window, please contact us and we will work with you to extend the deadline as necessary.

Food Handler Safety Training Card Program – COVID-19 Update

90163396_10158336544586349_706582730770481152_oWe know that many of our TAM Card® students also need their Food Handler Safety Training Card (also know as Health Card) to work. We’re helping the Southern Nevada Health District spread the word that they have temporarily stopped issuing cards.

The Food Handler Safety Training Card (Health Card) program is suspended until May 1, 2020. Food Handlers will NOT be required to have their cards with them and new employees or employees that need to renew their cards will be able to temporarily work without cards. Food establishments will NOT be assigned demerits for food handlers without cards during this period.

Please note: TAM CARD® TRAINING IS STILL AVAILABLE ONLINE AT THIS TIME. The TAM® of Nevada office is also closed, but you may take the course online at www.tamnevada.com. When you’ve finished your online training, we can email your employer to let them know you have completed all requirements except picking up your card. If you need this service, please contact us at tamsupport@tamnevada.com and include your name, order number, employer name and email address.

Official TAM® Card training is available online 24/7 – Our office is temporarily closed for COVID-19

ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective March 18th, TAM® of Nevada will close our office until April 30th. This temporary measure is in place to comply with Governor Sisolak’s order to temporarily close all non-essential businesses in an effort to further stop the spread of COVID-19.

ONLINE TAM CARD® CLASSES ARE STILL AVAILABLE 24/7 at www.tamnevada.com. You may still complete your online training on our eLearning portal, from your own computer, tablet, or smartphone device. Customer and technical support will be available during our temporary office closure via email at tamsupport@tamnevada.com.

TRAINING EXPIRATION DATES ARE BEING EXTENDED. We will temporarily suspend the 90-day expiration date for anyone that still needs to take their in-person final exam while our office is closed. If you need an extension, please contact us at tamsupport@tamnevada.com, and our friendly office staff will assist you.

WE CAN INFORM EMPLOYERS OF ESSENTIAL WORKERS IF THEY HAVE COMPLETED TAM® TRAINING. If you are a worker at an essential business which will remain open, such as a grocery store, we can e-mail your employer to confirm if your official TAM Card issued by TAM of Nevada is valid and up-to-date. If you’ve finished your online renewal or TAM Card® training but are unable to visit our office during the temporary closure, we can still assist you with next steps. We can email your employer to let them know you’ve completed all requirements.
